Fade: Duel Arena ("Fade," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Checkmate Labs, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Fade.

2. Information We Collect

Fade is designed to collect as little data as possible:

A randomly generated anonymous user ID
A randomly generated in-game username (medieval word-pair code)
A four-digit PIN you set to secure your account
Game statistics: virtual gold balance, duel win/loss records, win streaks, equipped virtual items, Boss Gauntlet progress, and Endless Gauntlet depth records
An invite code generated for your account

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

Real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
Location data or GPS coordinates
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or tracking cookies
Payment information, credit card numbers, or financial data
Photos, contacts, or any other personal files

4. Virtual Currency -- Not Real Money

All references to "gold," "wagers," "earnings," "entry fees," and "rewards" within Fade -- including those in PvP duels, the Boss Gauntlet, and the Endless Gauntlet ("The Depths") -- refer exclusively to virtual, in-game currency. This virtual currency:

Has no real-world monetary value
Cannot be purchased with real money
Cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for real money or real-world goods
Cannot be cashed out or withdrawn in any form

Fade does not facilitate, simulate, or promote real-money gambling. The game's virtual currency system is a game mechanic for entertainment purposes only.

5. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

Provide and maintain the game experience
Display leaderboards and player statistics
Enable multiplayer features
Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, share, or transfer your data to any third parties for any purpose. Your game data stays on our servers solely to provide the game experience.

7. Data Storage and Security

Game data is stored on secure servers. Because accounts are anonymous and contain no personal identifying information, there is minimal privacy risk. We employ reasonable security measures to protect game data from unauthorized access.

8. Children's Privacy

Fade is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since Fade does not collect personal information (names, emails, etc.) from any user, there is no personal data at risk. If you believe a child under 13 is using the app inappropriately, please contact us.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings menu within the App. Deleting your account permanently and irreversibly removes all associated data, including game statistics, virtual items, virtual currency balance, and activity history.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
